Agar is popularly known as agar agar, it is a sea vegetable and is tasteless, it is utilized for gelling liquids. It is a healthy diet that provides calcium, iron and iodine. Since it has no unique taste of its own, it mixes very well with savory and sweet foods.

Agar Agar Powder1. Make simple gelled liquid or kanten, which can be consumed as rejuvenating snack or dessert. Combine 2 cups liquid and ¼ cup sugar flakes in a saucepan. Simmer the heat for about 5 minutes; make sure the agar is completely melted or dissolved. Pour this mixture into a mold, let it set for a room temperature and then put in refrigerator.

2. Combine nuts and fruits to a kanten. When the agar agar has dissolved, mix in cooked or raw fruits and nuts. To make layers, pour some of this liquid into a mold and let it set up. Add a layer of fruit or nuts, then again a layer of liquid and let it set again. Repeat the procedure until all the liquid is used. Cool and refrigerate the mixture for a night.

Agar Agar Algae3. You can add tofu or yogurt or both to make pudding or mousse. Dissolve the agar in liquid. Blend yogurt, sweetener, tofu any other flavors together or any other thing you would like, such as vanilla, almond or lemon extract. Add the agar liquid and blend it until it is mixed well. Make it chill and serve.

4. Make a vegan cheese that is sliceable or a savory mousse. Dissolve agar in broth or soy milk. Sweet ingredients can be replaced with tahini, pimentos, nutritional yeast, lemon juice and ground cashews to make the base for savory mousse. Put three tablespoons of agar to make something that is sliceable.
